horoscopes

And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.
Deuteronomy 4:19

The people of Israel back in those days were warned against believing in the stars. Nothing has changed much since.

I used to think that horoscopes were a trifle thing, nothing to be taken serious about. You see them everywhere, from the back of teenage magazines to the innocuous newspaper. But i didn't pursue it, due to the niggling feeling inside that it's not right.

Idolatory.

That's what it is, says the Lord.

Why worship the stars, when they do little but blink and form shapes, not on their own, but according to the will of the Star-maker?
